With the impending release of our long-anticipated reissue of Terry Allen’s masterpiece Lubbock (on everything) this Friday, we are sharing a stream of entire album today. This reissue has been fully remastered from the original tapes, correcting pitch issues that were present in all previous releases (including the original), making it the first time it has been available to be heard as Allen intended. It is also the first time it is available on vinyl in the US since the 70s. Lubbock (on everything) sounds as vibrant and relevant today as it did upon its initial release in 1979 through its wry and inventive take on the sound and attitude of West Texas.
In addition to the fully remastered audio, we have packaged the reissue lavishly, nestling the vinyl inside a heavy duty tip-on gatefold jacket and including a booklet with a vast trove of archival images, lyrics, and essays, including a new essay by David Byrne. Dangerous Minds published Byrne’s essay last week, which is available to read HERE.
